IBPS CWE-9 PO Preliminary Examination 2019 is scheduled on 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th October 2019 while the IBPS PO Main Exam will be held on November 30, 2019.

IBPS PO Exam centre:
The IBPS PO examination is conducted through online at various centers all over India and the aspirant can mention their choices at the time of filling the online application form. However, if the seats are not available at preferred venues, IBPS may provide an examination centre other than the preferences made by the aspirant. IBPS is the single authority on adding or removing an examination centre and students can’t make requests for changing the examination centre. Any unprofessional behavior at the examination centre can lead to cancellation of the candidature.
IBPS PO 2019 Exam Pattern:
IBPS introduced separate sectional timing for every section in the preliminary examination. The IBPS PO examination is for recruiting aspirants will be based on an online written examination in two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS Prelims Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam. This exam is followed by face-to-face interview process.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern:
The IBPS PO preliminary exam will be held for 1 hour and 20mintues for every section, which will be conducted through online mode only. It comprises of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and maximum score of 100 marks. There is negative marking of 0.25 which is to be deducted for each wrong answer. Aspirants must clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to appear for the IBPS PO Main examination. The section-wise information is given below:

Aspirants have to certify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off percentage which is to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of students in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon the requirements will be selected for Online Main Examination.
IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern:
The IBPO PO Main examination is also conducted through online mode, it has 5(4+1) sections with a total score of 200+25 marks and total duration of 180+30 minutes. Just like IBPS PO 2017, IBPS will be directing a descriptive paper in its mains examination for selecting the candidates for the post of Probationary officer. The sections must be attempted in exactly same order and the allotted time as announced at the time of the examination. An aspirant has to qualify both the preliminary and mains examination to be eligible for the process of interview.

IBPS PO 2019 Recruitment:
Probationary Officers & Management Trainees are hired every year through a Common Written Exam, commonly known as the IBPS PO exam. The IBPS PO Exam was started in 2011 and is being conducted for the eighth time this year and hence is officially known as IBPS PO /MT CWE-9, 2019. The IBPS PO selection process comprises of 3 parts (preliminary, mains and interview) and the aspirant must have to clear each of them to proceed to the next phase. Important steps of the IBPS PO 2019 Recruitment Process are given below:
- Online Preliminary Exam:
An adequate number of aspirants in each category are certified by IBPS depending upon needs for Online Main Exam.
- Online Mains Exam:
Aspirants must certify the sectional as well as overall cut off in the mains examination to be eligible for the interview process.
Interview will be scheduled by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State or UT with the help of IBPS
- Final Result:
The Final result is announced on the basis of aspirants combined performance in IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds.
- Provisional Allotment:
The provisional allotment of the qualified aspirants is released on the official website. The IBPS Banks are allotted based on aspirants’ preferences which are made at the time of filling online application.
IBPS plays its important part in the selection process only till the provisional allotment to various banks. After that, the responsibility to intimate the certified aspirants about their joining dates and procedure lies with the respective banks.
IBPS PO Interview:
The aspirants who have certified the mains exam are called for the face to face interview which carries a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum certified marks for the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC or PWD candidates).
The interview round is generally lasts for 15-20 minutes, where a panel of bank officials ask questions from the aspirant about themselves, banking sector, current affairs, general awareness etc. The aspirants must be well dressed, confident and carry all documents required at the time of the interview.
The final merit list is to be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in mains exam and in interview process. The final score is to be calculated by IBPS with weightage of marks given in the mains exam and interview in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
There is also a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective type Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. A wrong answer by the aspirant will lead to a penalty of, 0.25 marks for wrong answer to a question that carries 1 mark. There will be no penalty for leaving a question unanswered
Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Examination:
The final score for the IBPS PO examination is calculated keeping the following points in mind:
- Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be considered in the final score and are only for certifying for Mains Examination.
- Aspirants must qualify Phase-2 and Interview level separately to be eligible for final merit.
- The weightage for CWE Main examination and interview for final merit list will be in the ration of 80:20 respectively.
- The average score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Aspirants with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria – 2019
Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO 2019 examination is as same as a graduation degree in any stream from the University recognized by the Government of India. Any candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for the IBPS PO 2019 examination.
The aspirants must be in possession of a valid Mark-sheet or a Degree Certificate that certifies that they are a graduate on the day they apply for the exam, and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while applying for the IBPS Bank-PO 2019 exam.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is must for the job as well as to appear for the IBPS PO 2019 examination which is conducted through online mode only.
Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State or UT is must. The aspirant must be able to read, write and speak the required language.
Nationality or Citizenship of candidate:
An aspirant applying for IBPS 2019 CWE or Bank PO Exam must be one of the following:
- Citizen of India
- From Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the purpose of permanent settlement
- Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the purpose of settling permanent in India
Aspirants belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian govt.
Age Eligibility of aspirants applying for IBPS Bank PO 2019 Exam:
Any aspirant who is applying for the IBPS PO 2019 exam should not be less than 20 years old and maximum should be 30 years of age at the time of applying. In addition to this, there is an age relaxation applicable to candidates as per the government rules and regulations :

Admit Card & Call Letter for IBPS PO 2019:
Aspirants must download the IBPS PO 2019 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the IBPS PO Admit Card will not be sent to the student through post. To login to the official website, the student needs the following:
- Registration No. or Roll No.
- Date of Birth or Password
The admit card will be made available between 10 to 15 days before the IBPS PO 2019 Examination. The admit card or call letter for IBPS PO 2019 will be issued in 3 parts:
- Online Preliminary Exam or Tier -1
- Online Mains Exam or Tier -2
Results for IBPS PO 2019 Exam:
IBPS will declare the results after completion of each Phase of Exam. The Final Merit state wise and category wise List will be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by the students in the Online Mains Exam and interview. Student who falls within the number of vacancies in the merit list will be considered for the appointment subjected to the Medical Fitness.
