Notification:

Central Teaching Eligibility Test is a national level entrance exam which is conducted to designate skilled teachers for Primary level and Secondary level. It conducted twice in every year i.e. December and July. This year, CTET 2019 for July session is conducted on July 7, 2019.

Interested aspirants can fill the CTET application form till March 5, 2019.

Eligibility criteria for CTET 2019:

Aspirants applying for the examination are required to check CTET Eligibility before applying. Aspirants who secure more than 60% in CTET 2019 for any of the papers will get a CTET eligibility certificate.

  • Aspirants belonging to the reserved categories will be provided with a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks in the Academic Eligibility of CTET.
  • The minimum age to appear for CTET 2019 examination is 18 years.
  • Detailed eligibility criteria for Primary level and Elementary level are different. They are as follows mentioned below:

Primary Teacher (Exam I)

  • Aspirants must have passed senior secondary level (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Also, he or she must have passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education level.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks.
  • Candidates must have passed or appear in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education, according with NCTE, Regulation act, 2002.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary level (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates must also pass or appear in final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education.

OR

  • Aspirants must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Along with it, Candidates must have a passing certificate of 2 year Diploma in Education.

OR

  • Candidate should have a Graduation degree in relevant stream must be acquired.
  • A certificate of two year Diploma in Primary Education.

Elementary Teacher (Exam II)

  • A graduate degree in relevant discipline must be obtained by the candidate.
  • Also, aspirant must have passed or appear in final year of 2year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • A bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks must be acquired by the candidate.
  • Candidate must have completed 1year of Bachelor in Education (B.ED).

OR

  • Graduation with minimum 45% marks must be acquired in relevant discipline.
  • Candidate must also complete a year in Bachelor in Education (B.ED), in according to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time.

OR

  • Aspirants must pass Senior Secondary education with minimum 50% of marks
  • Also, candidate must have either passed or appearing in final year of 4- years Bachelor in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Aspirants must have passed senior secondary education with minimum 50% of marks.
  • Along with it, aspirants must have passed or should be appearing in final year of 4 years of B.A/B.SC.ED or B.A.ED/B.SC.ED.

OR

  • Aspirants must have completed graduation with minimum 50% of marks.
  • Also, the aspirants should have passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*

CTET Application process:

CTET 2019 Application form can filled through online mode only. The last date to apply for the CTET exam is March 8, 2019. The online application process covers filling of form, uploading the documents, payment of application fees and taking the print outs of the confirmation page.

Following are the Steps to fill CTET 2019 Application form:

Step 1- Filling of Application Form:

  1. Visit the official website i.e. www.ctet.nic.in
    1. Click on “Apply for CTET exam 2019”
    1. Enter personal information in the form, as mentioned in the class 10 certificate.
    1. Select any 3 exam centers, preferred language and paper option.
    1. Fill academic, communication and other required information and enter security text.

Step 2- Uploading of Photograph and Signature:

  1. Once it is done, upload the photograph in the prescribed format or in jpeg format.
  2. Upload the signature also in jpeg format.

Step 3- Paying of the Application Fee:

  1. After the uploading of photograph, automatically redirected to the fee payment page.
  1. Select the payment option; whether online or through E-Challan.
  2. For online payment, choose the payment gateway (debit card/credit card or net banking)
  3. For offline payment, download the E-Challan and deposit the specified fee in Canara Bank or in Syndicate Bank.

Step 4- Print Out of Confirmation Page:

  1. A preview of the final page will be shown on the screen.
  1. Take a Print Out of it for the record and future processes.
  2. Hard copy must not be forward to CTET office.

Payment of Application Fee:

  • Aspirants can make the payment through both online and offline modes.
  • Aspirants can also refer to the below mentioned fee according to the category they belong to.

CTET 2019 Admit Card:

CTET exam 2019 Admit Card will be released as per the notification published on the website of CTET 2019. Particulars on the admit card should verify the details given on the confirmation page. Aspirants are suggested to verify all information on the admit card for any discrepancies and report to the authority regarding any corrections.

Exam centers for CTET examination:

  1. During filling of CTET application form, aspirants will be asked to fill in 3 preferences for exam centers.
  1. CTET 2019 will provide aspirants with centers possible at every major location of India. Therefore, they will have to make a choice as per their convenience.
  2. Exam center once allotted to the aspirant will not be changed under any condition.

Exam pattern for CTET 2019 examination:

CTET exam pattern consists of 2 exam- Exam 1 (Primary Level) and Exam 2 (Elementary Level):

  1. Exam 1 is for the candidates who are interested to be a teacher for the classes 1st to 5th.
  2. Exam 2 of is for the candidates who are interested to teach the students from classes 6th to 8th.

Syllabus for CTET 2019 exam:

CTET 2019 exam 1 is for the candidates of Primary level teachers and exam 2 is for the candidates of Elementary level teachers. Candidates can also appear for both the exams.

Exam 1:

  1. Exam 1 Syllabus comprises Child Development and Pedagogy.
  1. As it focuses on educational psychology and teaching of children aged between 6 to11.
  2. Language section will comprise of comprehension, language development and unseen passages.

Exam 2:

  1. Exam 2 Syllabus comprises of 5 sections viz., Child Development and Pedagogy for children aged between 11 to14 years.
  1. Language 1, Language 2, Maths, Science and Social Science are other four sections.
  2. Language 1 and Language 2 will comprise questions from comprehension and language development.

CTET 2019 Result notification:

  1. CTET 2019 exam Result will be declared on the official website in the month of July 2019.
  2. Answer Key for both the exams will be released before announcement of the result.
  1. CTET 2019 certificate is generated and will be delivered by speed post for candidates securing more than 60% marks in the test.
  2. CTET 2019 Mark statement will be delivered by ordinary post to the other candidates.
